Our talented engineers start with the hulls and install the tanks, engine rooms, controls, loading and unloading machinery, cargo heating systems, tank washing systems, and all other necessary facilities. These vessels are specifically designed for the transport of oils, fats, derivatives, and Jet A1 aviation fuel etc. We prioritize using steel and stainless steel for our tanks and instruments to ensure the highest standards of hygiene, efficient cleaning, and superior product quality. All tanks are fitted with hot water heating systems.
Our modern and flexible fleet, consisting of thousands of small and large inland vessels, can be used for a wide variety of purposes, including transporting dry and liquid bulk, containers, and project cargo. Inland shipping is particularly effective for moving large volumes. For example, between Rotterdam and Duisburg, 6-barge push units can transport 16,000 tons of coal and iron ore daily.
Inland shipping is highly effective for long-distance transport. Combined with road transport for shorter distances, it offers a practical alternative to using road transport alone. Inland shipping manages about 50% of incoming and outgoing cargo between the port of Rotterdam and European destinations.”
